    Hello,

On September 27th, I ordered a voucher for a full trip of this kind and paid the price of 32 EUR via the Internet with my credit card, but I have not received any voucher or anything of the sort, just an email saying that I had indeed been charged 32 EUR and by whom, as well as stating my purchase confirmation number. What should I do now

    • Hello Zbigniew,
I would like to confirm that your booking has been made successfully, and an automatic confirmation email has been sent to you already. This confirmation email acts as your digital voucher (no voucher is attached to the email). Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info [at] budacastlebudapest [dot] com

      • Hello,

Thank you for your fast response. Do I have to go to a ticket counter at the Castle to swap this voucher for a ticket, or should I simply go to the meeting point at Disz ter with this email and show it to the guide ?

        Thank you in advance.

        • Hello Zbigniew,
yes, you can simply go to the meeting point, and show the confirmation email to the tour guide. Have a nice time in Budapest!

  4. Hello,
I am visiting Budapest with my son (11yo) in December. I would like to book the Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise but would also be interested in the Labyrinth programs. Is it possible for us to include this stop during the tour then join the group back to finish the tour?

  5. Hello,

I would like to make an inquiry about the Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise.
I would like to book the tour for 3 people, must it be between 4 to 8 people?

    • Hi Dick Sun Leow,
My wife and I are also interested in the same tour, but unable to book, as the minimum number of guests to start the tour is 4. Would you like to join so that we can make a group? If yes, then could you email them at budacastlebudapest@gmail.com, so that they can put us together in a group. We will be in Budapest 16 December (Friday) – 18 December (Sunday).

      Thank you,
      Bobby

      • Dear Bobby,

thank you for your interest in the Buda Castle District Tour with Funicular ride and Danube Cruise.

We are glad to let you know that we have made the tour package available for groups smaller than 4 people. For mini groups the price per person is higher of course as the guide fees are divided by fewer people, but should there be more people joining the tour the extra costs will be reimbursed.
The tour is available with 2 starting hours (10.30 am or 4pm). The morning tour is cheaper for 2 persons (total of €110) than the evening tour (€120).

  6. Hi I would like to book Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise for 16 December 2016 for my wife and myself. However, when I tried to submit the request online, it is indicated that the number of guests must be between 4 and 8. Is there a way to book this tour for a couple? Thank you.

  7. Hi! I am just one person wanting to take the tour, is that possible? I want it for 3rd March for the morning time.

  8. I’m looking to book the 11:30 am tour for 2 people on March 20th. Under prices of tour it lists 55 euros per person for a group of 2. However, when I try to book the tour for 2 on the website, the website quotes me 130 euros, which would be 65 euros per person. That’s even more expensive than the afternoon tour. Is the information listed in the prices wrong or is the booking system incorrect?

    • Dear Michael,
I apologise if the description was not clear enough regarding the prices.
I would like to confirm that the Morning Tour for 2 persons costs €65 per person, and the Afternoon Tour for 2 persons costs €70 per person.

  9. hello, is it possible to book beyond 31, March? thank you for your help.

  10. Hi, I bought 5 tickets for tomorrow, however I have not received a confirmation email but the money has gone out of my account. I bought the tickets yesterday

  11. Hello,

How much would it cost for a group of 17 students and 5 adults to do this tour in July?

    Best regards.

    • Dear Emma,
thank you for your inquiry. We will send you our group quote via email soon. Thank you for your patience.

  12. Hi,
I’m looking for a few companions for this trip – Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise – on August 15th 2017 at 16:00. If you are also interested in taking this trip at a lower price :), let me know.
    Regards,
    Katarzyna

  13. I am interested to book the 4pm Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise tour. My travelling group is 9 people and we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest). What is the best way to get to the meeting point – 15 Disz Sq Budapest?

The funicular ride included in the package is it only for one way when we are on the tour? Or can we use it to get to the meeting point?

  14. I am interested to book the Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise – 3h Private Package: Castle District Walking Tour + Funicular ride + Danube Cruise. My travelling group is 9 people and we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest).

What is the flow of activities for the tour?

Could I also clarify where exactly is the meeting point to start the 3 hr package? As we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest side of the river), it seems a repeated route to get to the meeting point of Castle Tour Package– 15 Disz Sq Budapes.

    • Dear Justina,
      thank you for your inquiry.
The meeting point of the Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise program is 15 Disz Square, Budapest (in the Castle District, Buda side).
The easiest way to reach the meeting point from your accommodation is by Bus no. 5 from Ferenciek Square. (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/A72LBmSsZEN2)

This tour includes a single ride on the Funicular. The tour usually ends by the Funicular, and you can use it to leave the Castle District. After the Funicular ride, the dock of the cruise will be in walking distance.

  15. Amy (Pinkston Family)

The time on the website has now changed compared to our email as well. When we bought the tickets the website said 10:30, as our email does, but now the website has changed. Please clarify.

  16. Amy (Pinkston Family)

We were under the impression when we bought our tickets yesterday, the museum, library, and gallery would be included, but seems the website changed right after we bought our tickets, and our email says they are excluded. Please clarify.

    • Dear Amy,
I would like to confirm that no changes have been made on our website. We have been offering this tour for 2 years now, without any changes in the program. Thank you for your understanding.

      • Amy (Pinkston Family)

Our confirmation email states 10:30 – 2pm. This page says above 11:30am -3pm:

        Date & Hours
The Tour runs almost every day (except Dec 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan 1).

        Hours: morning & afternoon.

        11.30 am – 3 pm

        • Dear Amy,
          we apologise for the misunderstanding.
The correct hours of the tour is 10.30 am – 2pm, as stated in your confirmation email.
We have now corrected the information on the website too. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

      • Amy (Pinkston Family)

Please clarify #4 on route. We are confused b/c the page above says:

Route of the Castle District Walking Tour
Budapest Winter Holiday Matthias Fountain Buda Castle Snow Mispahn
Matthias Fountain under Snow – Mispahn
        1. Matthias Church – Trinity Statue – Fisherman’s Bastion
        2. Military Museum – Mary Magdalene Church Tower
        3. Toth Arpad Promenade – Arthur Gorgey Statue
        4. Palace of Buda: National Gallery – National Library – Budapest History Museum – Matthias Fountain
        5. Royal Palace – Sculpture of mythical Turul bird
        6. Funicular ride from Castle Hill top to Adam Clark Sq by Chain Bridge (Cable Car ticket included)

        Thank you

      • Amy (Pinkston Family)

Do any of the tours include entrance into the museum, gallery, and library?

  17. Sanjay Dharmavasan

Dear Management of the Buda Castle,

I am writing on behalf of the Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest a school in the Netherlands. We are organizing a school trip to Budapest during the week of 12th of March till the 16th of March. We would like to know if the Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise will be available during that time and on which days it will be available. We would also like to know if it is possible for us do to this tour, since our group consists of 32 people. Lastly we would like to know what the price would be for our group if we are able to do this tour.

    Regards,

    Sanjay Dharmavasan

  18. have been unable to get a reservation through on the website

  19. Hi

I am interested in the Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise for 8 people, on 10th August from 4 to 7:30 pm, what is the different between private and public cruise?

Also will the 1-hour cruise be covered in 3.5 hours?

    Any discount for students?
If I will only exclude funicular then what will the cost?

    • Dear Megha,
this tour includes a ticket for a public cruise, I’m afraid it is not possible to choose a private one.
The walking tour in the Castle District is approx. 2 hours, and the cruise is 1 hour long.
I’m afraid there is no student ticket on this tour, and as the program is fix, it is not possible to exclude any of the inclusions. Thank you for your understanding.

  20. So #EXCITED!! See you Dec 23! Q: is it true that Dracula was imprisoned in the castle’s tower??

  21. Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise– i have read the tour route, but it is not clear about which buildings will be entered? Thanks.

    • Dear Zada,
thank you for contacting us about the tour: the walking tour is is an open air walking tour around the buildings of the Buda Castle. After or before the tour you can visit the various buildings (visitors usually use a Budapest Card for that or buy the cheap entry fee on the spot, around 6 Euros depending on which building you wish to visit. Please note, however, that temporary exhibitions are typically more expensive, so the cheap rate is only for the permanent exhibitions, which would still allow you to take a look at the immense interiors of the Castle buildings and its many wings). In short, there is no entry included in the price, but the tour is very informative and a nice walk with historical and fun facts about the Buda Castle and its many buildings, courtyards, balustrades, balconies etc.

  22. Hello, I would like to buy 4 tickets for full morning tour Inclusions in Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise, we are 4 people/group. Please tell me the meeting place, what time we should be there and is there option when I will buy tickets to choose guide language?

  23. Hello, I just purchased two tickets for the castle/funicular/boat tour on 3/23 at 4:00 pm. I have the email from PayPal confirming that I paid, but I have no email from you with either confirmation or my tickets. Can you please help?

  24. Nicholas Moncaleano

Hello, is the funicular ticket included for both directions or would my group need to purchase a one-way ticket to get up the hill, because I understand that it is an uphill climb to reach the meeting point?
    Thank you very much

    • Dear Nicholas,
this tour includes only a one-way ticket to the Funicular (it is after the walking tour, when you leave the Castle area with the Funicular and go to the dock). Of course, if you wish to use the Funicular to get up to the hill as well, you can purchase an additional ticket on the spot.

  25. Would a brief stop at Ruszwurm Confectionery be allowed during the tour? We would love to have a few minutes to stop in, it is very close to Mattias Church.
    Thank you very much

    • Dear Nicholas,
if you book this program, it will be a private tour, so it shouldn’t be a problem to alter the schedule a little bit.

  26. Hi,
We are two couples traveling with a baby and a 3 year old. Is the tour OK to bring small children on and would it require we buy a ticket for either of the children?
    Regards,
    Tracy

    • Hello Tracy,

under 3 years of age, the use of Funicular is free.

For children between 3 and 14, a single ticket is HUF 700.

I hope I could be of help.

  27. Hi, I and my wife would be interested in taking this Buda castle & funicular ride but without Danube cruise as we are having the latter on on our (already booked) Parliament tour. Could such booking be made ?
