So #EXCITED!! See you Dec 23! Q: is it true that Dracula was imprisoned in the castle’s tower??
Dear Cynthia,
no, I’m afraid it’s only a myth.
Hi
I am interested in the Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise for 8 people, on 10th August from 4 to 7:30 pm, what is the different between private and public cruise?
Also will the 1-hour cruise be covered in 3.5 hours?
Any discount for students?
If I will only exclude funicular then what will the cost?
Dear Megha,
this tour includes a ticket for a public cruise, I’m afraid it is not possible to choose a private one.
The walking tour in the Castle District is approx. 2 hours, and the cruise is 1 hour long.
I’m afraid there is no student ticket on this tour, and as the program is fix, it is not possible to exclude any of the inclusions. Thank you for your understanding.
have been unable to get a reservation through on the website
Hi Gail,
we will soon be in touch with you via email. Thank you for your patience.
Dear Management of the Buda Castle,
I am writing on behalf of the Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest a school in the Netherlands. We are organizing a school trip to Budapest during the week of 12th of March till the 16th of March. We would like to know if the Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise will be available during that time and on which days it will be available. We would also like to know if it is possible for us do to this tour, since our group consists of 32 people. Lastly we would like to know what the price would be for our group if we are able to do this tour.
Regards,
Sanjay Dharmavasan
Dear Sanjay,
thank you for your message.
We will soon contact you via email. Thank you for your patience.
We were under the impression when we bought our tickets yesterday, the museum, library, and gallery would be included, but seems the website changed right after we bought our tickets, and our email says they are excluded. Please clarify.
Dear Amy,
I would like to confirm that no changes have been made on our website. We have been offering this tour for 2 years now, without any changes in the program. Thank you for your understanding.
Our confirmation email states 10:30 – 2pm. This page says above 11:30am -3pm:
Date & Hours
The Tour runs almost every day (except Dec 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan 1).
Hours: morning & afternoon.
11.30 am – 3 pm
Dear Amy,
we apologise for the misunderstanding.
The correct hours of the tour is 10.30 am – 2pm, as stated in your confirmation email.
We have now corrected the information on the website too. Thank you for your kind cooperation.
Please clarify #4 on route. We are confused b/c the page above says:
Route of the Castle District Walking Tour
Budapest Winter Holiday Matthias Fountain Buda Castle Snow Mispahn
Matthias Fountain under Snow – Mispahn
1. Matthias Church – Trinity Statue – Fisherman’s Bastion
2. Military Museum – Mary Magdalene Church Tower
3. Toth Arpad Promenade – Arthur Gorgey Statue
4. Palace of Buda: National Gallery – National Library – Budapest History Museum – Matthias Fountain
5. Royal Palace – Sculpture of mythical Turul bird
6. Funicular ride from Castle Hill top to Adam Clark Sq by Chain Bridge (Cable Car ticket included)
Thank you
Do any of the tours include entrance into the museum, gallery, and library?
Dear Amy,
the Buda Castle & Church Tour includes entry to Matthias Church.
More info on this program is on:
https://budacastlebudapest.com/buda-castle-matthias-church-tour/
I hope I could be of help.
The time on the website has now changed compared to our email as well. When we bought the tickets the website said 10:30, as our email does, but now the website has changed. Please clarify.
I am interested to book the Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise – 3h Private Package: Castle District Walking Tour + Funicular ride + Danube Cruise. My travelling group is 9 people and we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest).
What is the flow of activities for the tour?
Could I also clarify where exactly is the meeting point to start the 3 hr package? As we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest side of the river), it seems a repeated route to get to the meeting point of Castle Tour Package– 15 Disz Sq Budapes.
Dear Justina,
thank you for your inquiry.
The meeting point of the Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise program is 15 Disz Square, Budapest (in the Castle District, Buda side).
The easiest way to reach the meeting point from your accommodation is by Bus no. 5 from Ferenciek Square. (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/A72LBmSsZEN2)
This tour includes a single ride on the Funicular. The tour usually ends by the Funicular, and you can use it to leave the Castle District. After the Funicular ride, the dock of the cruise will be in walking distance.
I am interested to book the 4pm Castle Tour & Funicular & Cruise tour. My travelling group is 9 people and we are staying at Budapest Vaci utca 24 (Pest). What is the best way to get to the meeting point – 15 Disz Sq Budapest?
The funicular ride included in the package is it only for one way when we are on the tour? Or can we use it to get to the meeting point?
Hi,
I’m looking for a few companions for this trip – Buda Castle Tour with Funicular Ride and River Cruise – on August 15th 2017 at 16:00. If you are also interested in taking this trip at a lower price :), let me know.
Regards,
Katarzyna
