We wish to inform our visitors that St. Stephen’s Hall, the recently restored wing of the Buda Castle Museum, will undergo routine upkeep from March 16 to March 31, 2025. This essential maintenance ensures the preservation of its architectural beauty and historical significance, preparing it for a grand reopening on April 1, 2025.
During this period, the rest of the Castle Museum remains open, welcoming visitors daily to explore its diverse halls and extensive exhibitions. In addition, Buda Castle District’s many other iconic attractions will also be open for discovery throughout the second half of March, including:
- Matthias Church – A masterpiece of Gothic architecture
- Fisherman’s Bastion – Offering breathtaking panoramic views of Budapest
- Castle Courts – The historic heart of Buda Castle
- Presidential Palace – A site of national importance
- Castle Caves – A fascinating underground labyrinth beneath the castle
- Cave Wine Cellar – A unique setting for wine tastings in a historic cave
