According to the recently published plans, the onetime Riding Hall of Buda Castle will be rebuilt in the following few years.
History of the Riding Hall
The original Stables of the Royal Palace was built at the outer area of the western walls of the Castle, in 1899. The ornate building of the Royal Riding Hall got several shots during the siege in World War II, and the building was demolished.
The Plans
The new area of the riding hall – apart from their original purpose – will also operate as an event venue, hosting various receptions, balls, art fairs and festivals. The Royal Riding Hall will also be able to accommodate up to 16 horses at a time.
